How much experience do you have with this type of work?

DOXA Contracting was established in 2023, but Jeff the owner has been involved in residential construction for 5+ years, and also has a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Is Doxa Contracting Co. licensed and insured?

We are a licensed and insured contracting company, and provide proof of license and insurance during the pre-planning phase of the project.

How do I contact you?

You can call or text 724-584-7909 or email us at jeff@doxacontractingcompany.com

Can I afford the project I have in mind?

This question is more a question of mindset than it is of financial statements. We work with you to build a high quality project that will last generations, but we offer various levels of materials, finishes, and products in order to make the project affordable to you. We also only require 25% of the project amount up front, ensuring that the project cost is spread out for your family to bear.

Are your subcontractors licensed and insured?

We require all subcontractors to provide proof of insurance and a copy of their HIC number before we allow them to work on any projects.

We rigorously check and monitor our subcontractors to ensure that they have a high level of integrity, transparency, and quality in their work. Our subs are apart of our team, and we expect and require them to uphold the values and standards that we uphold at DOXA.

What are your typical days and hours for working on projects?

Our team works in the field anytime from 7AM to 5PM Monday through Saturday, but we are understanding of home owners busy schedules and are willing to work around various schedules as long as the stipulations are clearly outlined in the Scope of Work before starting the project. We are here to build your home, and we want to provide excellent service in any way we can.

How does billing work?

Typically, our clients pay a deposit of 30% of the price of the project upon signing the job contract, and pay the remaining balance upon completion of the project or among an agreed upon draw schedule.

How do we handle design changes/ change orders?

In order to complete work outside of the scope of work, we provide our clients with a change order sheet that allows them to request a change to the project. We charge a $250 processing fee for any change order that requires a new price added to the job. This allows our team to provide the optimal solution to the customer while ensuring that the Scope of Work is followed as closely as possible.

Do you charge by time and material, or by a lump sum?

As a general contractor focused on comprehensive remodels, additions, and buildings, we charge a lump sum based on the work outlined in the scope of work. We provide an excellent product and service and believe that the way we protect the customer is by charging by the job rather than by the hour.

Call us today at 570-293-2699 to receive a quote from our team, we are equipped to lead you and your family in the process of remodeling your home or building an addition.

How much work do you complete yourself versus subcontractors or a crew of employees?

We use subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, concrete, and masonry services. This allows me (The Owner) and our team to focus on excelling in the work we do; framing, finish carpentry, tile, kitchen and bathroom design, drywall, and more.

Doxa is a comprehensive contracting company, and we provide you not only with our building skills, but also with our network of professionals who we team with to provide an excellent experience and a beautiful living space for you and your family. We manage and organize your projects so that you can focus on what is most important to you!

Will you be working on other projects at the same time as my job?

As a small contracting company, we only take on one job at any given time. However, there will be times that we will be completing job planning, quoting, marketing, or other business tasks that may require us to take a few days from completing your job to accomplish.

You as our client are our priority, and we aim to finish first the projects that we start before considering other projects or other areas of our business.

What is your refund policy?

After the deposit check is given to Doxa and the Scope of Work contract is signed, We offer a 90% refund of the deposit check up to the scheduled start date of the project. After the project has begun, we do not offer any refunds on the deposit check, but we are willing to work with individuals on a case to case basis.

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

We offer a 12 month warranty on any latent material defects that were directly a result of our work outlined in the Scope of Work. Our clients are what allow us to run our business, and we are committed to ensuring that our work is built to high standards and designed to last for generations.
